Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor the progress of SIA flights and disseminate relevant flight information to parties concerned.
  • Consistently evaluate route and operational safety information, such as curtailment of airport facilities, including runways and fueling facilities, industrial unrest, meteorological warnings, and crew flight time limitations, while assessing their impact on flights.
  • Keep the operations crew informed via ACARS when necessary.
  • Work to minimise flight delays and passenger inconvenience.
  • Arrange additional flights, charters and/or relief flights as required.
  • Coordinate and handle delays or special diversions to enroute stations or airports when commercial, economic, or technical circumstances require it.
  • Act under stipulated procedures for accidents/incidents involving SIA aircraft and property, as well as for emergencies such as hijackings, bomb threats and/or medical emergencies involving SIA or Star-Alliance partner flights in Singapore.
  • Analyse the cause of flight delays and their subsequent handling with the objective of improving the handling techniques to avoid or minimise their recurrence. 
  • Monitor flight progress (Flight Following) & revise/update flight plans, noting changes in critical fuel scenarios for (EDTO) (Extended Diversion Time Operation) 
  • Communicate with Technical Crew and Flight Dispatchers on changes to flight plan when necessary; in-flight re-routing due to revised operating conditions, airspace and/or weather-related matters, further route optimisation, etc. 
  • Provide flight planning support during IRROPS. 
  • Monitor significant weather (e.g., Typhoon, Volcanic Ash, severe weather around terminal airspaces) and provide the necessary rerouting and information for operational resilience. 
  • Monitor ad-hoc significant disruption to air routes/airspaces. 
  • Coordinate arrival & departure sequencing, European Delay Management, Tactical Cost Index Adjustment and others. 
  • Maintain Flight Dispatch currency. 
  • Support fuel initiative operations 
  • Ensure SIN ATFM Management Measures are communicated to the crew. 
  • Any other duties as assigned by the department.

 

Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a background in Flight Operations or pilots ATPL
  • As this is an operational role, you will need to be able to work on shift duties.
